Creek
   
In 2002, while creating the public sculpture "Parcours" (Course) for the Cloutier-du-Rivage collective, I engraved several small stones with geometric motifs which were included in the mesh part of the work. During the work, I randomly piled up stones that had been engraved. I thought that the stones had a certain charm.

In autumn 2002 I decided to present one of these 'rock piles' for the Yuzi Paradise International Sculpture Award, in China. That was when I had the idea of placing the stones in the creek. In February 2003 I displayed these engraved stones in Trois-Rivières and placed the stones in the creek that summer. In the spring of 2004 I added all the stones returned from China. Now I am waiting for moss to grow on the sculpted stones.

In 2008, for the event "Cossins poétiques et patentes à gosses", I did a series of small sculptures that were part of the continuation of my experiences with the moraines. I started attaching polished granite buttons to natural stones.

This series of small sculptures was the start for "Cultivating Stone", an installation of 150 stones transformed and exposed for the first time at the Expo Centre Léo-Ayotte in Shawinigan. This series consists of "Stones with buttons", "stones with handles" and carved stone bowl-shaped and accented with gold leaf.

Those that were not sold will be placed in the stream by the end of summer.
